Activity Description

This recorded webinar is derived from ONS Congress 2026. Earn free CE credit, as you deepen your knowledge on treatment choices for blood cancers. Focus will be on when to use CAR T-cell therapy versus Stem Cell Transplant, when to refer patients for discussion of these therapies, and important questions and answers surrounding the therapy selection and sequencing in patients with blood cancer. Through case-based discussion with audience participation, the integral role of the nurse in multidisciplinary care for safe and successful provision of transplant and cellular therapies will be covered, along with resources to educate and support your patients.

Target Audience

This CE activity is intended for oncology nurses and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with hematologic malignancies.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

    • Describe the principles of CAR T-cell and stem cell transplantation and best practices for management in the treatment of patients with blood cancers
    • Identify when to use CAR T-cell therapy versus stem cell transplant, when to refer patients, and how to appropriately sequence these modalities in clinical practice
    • Explain the role of the multidisciplinary team when treating patients with CAR T-cell therapy or stem cell transplant
    • Utilize educational resources on CAR T-cell therapy and stem cell transplant to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals

Approval for nurses has been obtained by the National Office of Blood Cancer United under Provider
Number CEP 5832 to award 1.5 continuing education contact hours through the California Board of Registered Nursing. 

Social Worker Continuing Education

Blood Cancer United Provider Number 1105, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 12/10/2023-12/10/2026. Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 clinical continuing education credits.

Blood Cancer United is recognized by the New York State Education Departments State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0117.
